Dr. Janet is a native of Cork and joined Patrick Street Medical Centre in October 2016, having completed her General Practice training in July 2016.
She studied medicine in University College Cork, graduating in 2007. She completed her internship in Cork University Hospital, Cork University Maternity Hospital and Bantry General Hospital. In 2008, she travelled to Australia for a year where she took up employment with the Royal Perth Hospital, working mainly in emergency medicine. Upon her return to Ireland in 2009, Dr. Janet spent the next 2 years working in hospital medicine in Cork. Following this, she enhanced her experience further working as a Dermatology Registrar in South Infirmary Victoria Hospital.
Having gained a wealth of vital hospital experience in 5 years, Dr.Janet progressed to pursue her career as a GP and undertook the Cork GP Training Scheme between 2012 and 2016.
Dr. Janet’s areas of special interests and expertise include dermatology, family planning and women’s health; she holds a diploma from the Royal College of Obstetricians and an advanced certificate in LARC (Long-acting reversible contraception).
