Nurse Tatjana Jokic
Tatjana Jokic is the Practice Nurse at Patrick Street Medical Centre.
Her hours are:
- Tuesday 8.30am – 6.00pm
- Wednesday 8.30am – 6.00pm
Originally from Zagreb, Croatia, Tatjana completed nursing school before furthering her education at the University of Applied Health Sciences in Zagreb. She moved to Ireland in 2017, where she worked in elderly care settings, as well as in medical and surgical wards. She joined our practice in 2023 and has become a valued member of our team.
With a background in diverse areas of nursing, Tatjana has developed a strong interest in disease prevention. She has completed the TREC Travel Medicine Course, Principles in General Practice, and the CervicalCheck Programme. She is an active member of the Irish General Practice Nurses Educational Association (IGPNEA), where she stays up-to-date with the latest developments in primary care nursing.
Duties at this practice include:
- Child vaccinations
- Travel vaccinations and advice
- Seasonal vaccinations (e.g., flu)
- Other injections (e.g., B12, iron)
- Ante-natal visits (with doctor in attendance)
- Baby checks (with the doctor in attendance)
- Blood tests
- Smear tests
- Wound care
- Stitch removal
- Dressings
- Venesection
- Chronic disease management
- Health advice (e.g., diabetes, asthma, weight loss, smoking)
